Elijah Quinn is an alt-folk singer/songwriter based in Smithers, Northern BC. Raised in a musical family, he was given the choice to play hockey or to sing in the choir. So, his early days were spent singing in choir, making music wherever he could, and finding inspiration in Northern BC’s close-knit festival community. After years of performing, writing, recording, and working behind the scenes in music, Quinn released his debut LP, Where the Quiet People Yell, in July 2026. The record was crumpled up and thrown away so many times, that the only logical solution was to pack up all his gear and isolate himself in a cabin on Haida Gwaii, an 8 hour ferry ride off the west coast of BC in order to escape the rut. The record explores finding a sense of home, gratitude for the people who stick with you, finding your voice, and shedding old versions of yourself, drawing inspiration from José González, The Wood Brothers, and The War on Drugs.
